He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzo Evans and Callie Sue Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Terry Jo Evans; his daughter Jackie Vaughn; his son-in-law Rick Vaughn; his grandchildren, Hannah and Evan Vaughn; and his siblings, Ronnie Evans (Vicky), Barbara Sharp (Roy) and Sharon Wilkins (Bobby). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
