It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Henri Horton of Athens, Georgia, born in Bishopville, South Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Louise Griggs and Lester Henry Horton Jr.; and his stepfather Harry George Schaffer. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Anderson Horton; his daughters, Paula Horton McCurry (Jeffery), Sarah Ridgeway (Jennifer), Leila Wood (Matthew) and Mandy Kero (Kathy); his grandchildren, Eileen Totter, Drew Totter, Shaun Carter-Totter (Jamie), Elijah McCurry, Senya Kero, Saryn Kero and Selah Kero; his great grandchildren, Claire, Liam and Logan; and his brother David Sutton.
