He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Birkbeck and Elizabeth Birkbeck; his wife Winnie; and his son David. He is survived by: his son Martin; his daughter-in-law Tracy Birkbeck; his grandchildren, Matthew, Erica, Collyn and Cole; and his great grandchildren, Blakely, Calvin and Skylar.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alex's memory to the Bargain Box in Grafton.
