She is survived by: her husband Dr. Keddy Eccles-James; her son Michael Eccles-James; her grandchildren, Georgette, Amira, Samantha, Caleb, Chase, Colton and Kenzo; her children-in-law, Fatoumata Soumah, Benjamin Gilman and Cecil Williams; and her siblings, Chief Uzodinma Okpara, Dr. Enyinnaya Okpara, Ugonwa Dag-Ellams and Dr. Ijeoma Okpara. She is also survived by in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
