He is survived by: his wife Delores Askew; his children, David Askew (Renard), Marlon Askew (Phyllis), Kennie Askew and Tiska Sanford; his siblings, Alfred Askew (Mary) and Evelyn Reynolds; his grandchildren, Lakesia, Marlon, Jr., Tony, Michael, Denzel, Richard (Lil Rick), Tavon, Density and Wanda; his siblings-in-law, Joann Alexander, Shirley Walker (Charlie), Robert Carter (Sandra), Melvin Carter (Shirley) and Michael Carter (Shelia); and his cousins, Sandra Howard, Valerie "Nippy" Lewis (Freddie), Tonya Goodrum (Tim) and Annanethia "Peaches" Hattney (Clay). He is also survived by Nine Great-grandchildren.
