David Berman Obituary

In loving memory of David Berman (Atlanta, Georgia), who departed this world on June 23, 2025 at the age of 97. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Naftali Berman and Marum Berman; his wife Alice Becker; his sister Lucille; his sons, Steve (Gita), Michael (Judy) and Daniel (Lauren); and his grandchildren, Mara, Aviva, Shira Berman, Oren, Noah Berman, Eitan, Gil and Matan Berman.

Although these years were difficult, with Covid and aging, David enjoyed simple pleasures such as listening to classical music and watching his favorite Florida sports teams.

“We first met Dave and Alice, and became dear friends, when we were neighbors on Muriel Street 1962-66. Then, after our paths diverged for about 45years, we reconnected in Sarasota. They were as lively and lovable as ever, and we again came to love them and to adore our times together. Though profoundly saddened that they are gone, we recall with enormous pleasure their delightful personalities and joy-filled exemplary lives.”
