He was predeceased by : his parents, Grady T. Smotherman and Louise W. Smotherman. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Ervin Smotherman; his sons, Charles Smotherman (Sharon) and Tim Smotherman (Gena); and his grandchildren, Eric Smotherman (Paige), Katie Smotherman, Holden Smotherman and Madeleine Smotherman.
