David Brett Moon Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Brett Moon in Atlanta, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his father David Brodie Moon. He is survived by: his husband Jared Kornbluth; his grandmother Rosine "Grannie" Jackie Brodie Moon; his sister Mandy Maier; his nibling Reese Maier; his sisters, Ashlie Wilcox (David Wilcox), Brodie Wilcox, Carrie Friend and Katie Friend (Brooks Friend); and his close friend Elise Powell. He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
