We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2025, at the age of 70, Derrick Patterson of Atlanta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Derrick had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Derrick may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Patterson and Dora K. Patterson; and his brother Michael A. Patterson. He is survived by: his lifelong sweetheart Sibyl Patterson; his daughter Dorian Patterson; his stepdaughter Schjuan Clark; his sons, Travius and Trivius Caldwell; and his siblings, Dr. John H. Henry Jr. (Cindy), William K. Patterson (Jacquelyn), Joseph E. Patterson (Wanda) and Rubinell P. Saxon. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.
A prayer will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam (560 Fayetteville Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30316).
