DeVerle Herring Chapman Obituary

We announce the death of DeVerle Herring Chapman of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 89. DeVerle will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Walters Herring and Samuel Dewy Herring; and her sister Lamie Ruth Wicker. She is survived by: her husband John G. Chapman (Jack); her son Steven Alan Chapman of Atlanta, Georgia; and her brother-in-law Nash Wicker of Anderson, S. C..
