He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Young Sr. and Idella Bridges Young; and his siblings, Frontz Sr. (Marguerite), Willie (Margaret), Leroy (Vada), John, Marvin Jr. "Bud" and Marian Young Wilson.
He is survived by: his brothers, Henry C. Young of Dayton, Frank H. Young (Audrey) and Timothy Young of Atlanta; and his sister-in-law Jennie Young. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
