He was predeceased by: his father Henry L. Garrett; his daughter Shantay Garrett; and his brothers, Doland Garrett, Roland Garrett and Robert Garrett.
He is survived by: his mother Richetta Knight Garrett Mallard; his siblings, Noland Garrett (Shirley), Debra Mallard Wilson (Willie), Joe Mallard (Radeyah) and Gary Mallard (Nakeisha); and his close friends, Peanut and Skip. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the BIG Bethel AME Church (220 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303-2602).
