James E Gilmer Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James E Gilmer Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of James E Gilmer Jr. to show support.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilmer and Jane Gilmer; and his sister Margaret B. Gilmer. He is survived by: his wife Lia; his sister Nan Long (Mac); and his sons, Jamie (Becca), Rob (Shanna) and Billy. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral (http://www.atlgoc.org.), Hellenic College/Holy Cross Theological School in Boston (http://www.hchc.edu.), or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.).
