He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim McCarthy and Dorothy McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Celia McCarthy; his sons, Jimmy McCarthy and Michael McCarthy; and his sisters, Maureen Robinson (Dave) and Mary Ann Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Heritage Preparatory School (1700 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324).
