We announce the death of James Strong of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 85. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mother Roberta Kirkpatrick Strong; and his sister Patricia Strong Barrett. He is survived by: his girlfriend Sue Ann Lowery; his children, James Walter Strong Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama and Katherine Parrish Strong of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Linton; his granddaughter Kate Strong; his former wife Julie Carr Strong; his nieces and nephews, Gould Barrett, Robert Barrett, Kirk Barrett, Cornelia Barrett LaRussa (Joe) and Carter Barrett (Jamie); and his partner's children, Joe Lowery (Jennifer), Chris Lowery (Daryl Thomas) and Carol Falso (Scott).
