We announce the death of Janet Jones Floyd of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 86. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Janet’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman D. "Dick" Jones and Mavis Tucker Jones; and her husband Fred Albert Floyd. She is survived by: her daughter Donna Floyd of Milner; and her sister Sandy Smith (Doyle) of Cochran. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Bowers Cemetery.
