She was predeceased by: her parents, George Russell Bailey and Minnie Madge "Dolly" Bailey; and her sisters, Virginia, Cy and Ruth.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" D. Simpson; and her children, Mark Simpson (Jane), Karen Blakeley (Whit), Anne Seifert (Jim) and Christmases. She is also survived by her daughters, hosting her grandchildren and her nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church (2375 Shallowford Rd, Atlanta, GA 30345).
