Jo Ann (Odell) Segars Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Jo Ann (Odell) Segars in Atlanta, Georgia is shared. Jo Ann, born on February 27, 1939 in Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dwayne Segars; her parents, Howard O'Dell and Stella O'Dell; her siblings, Herbert O'Dell, Bob O'Dell, Harold O'Dell and Geraldine Lockaby; and her son-in-law Greg Green.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Segars (Wanda) of Brookhaven, Barry Segars (Patricia) of Alpharetta and Beth Ewing of Saint Simons Island; her grandchildren, Lauren Vonfeldt (Andrew), Chelsea Ewing (Henry Dineen), Matthew Segars, Grace Chasteen (Evan), Edie Ewing and Benjamin Segars; and her siblings, Joyce Stewart, Carolyn Swinford (Mather), Wanda Benfield, Judy Wilson (Jerry), Reba Burger (Ron) and Max O'Dell (Judy). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Roswell Funeral Home (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
