He is survived by: his wife Verna Merritt of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughters, Rosalyn and Johnieda Merritt of Atlanta, Georgia; and his siblings, James Leon Merritt of Jacksonville, Bobbie McMillion (Valerie) of Atlanta, Jimmy McMillion (Martha) of Atlanta, Jerry McMillion (Darlene) of Atlanta, Patricia Wooten of Alma and Joann Odom of Douglas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
