He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight L. Oliver and Elizabeth P. Oliver. He is survived by: his wife Cristina Hope Oliver; his sons, John William Posegate Oliver and Sloan Christian Shepard Oliver; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Sloan Oliver, John William Posegate Oliver III, Caroline Posegate Oliver, Mary Kendrick Oliver, Elliott Warren Shepard Oliver, Sloan Christian Shepard Oliver and Jane Elizabeth Oliver; and his brother Warren Emerson Oliver.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1438 Sheridan Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324). A reception will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Fellowship Hall (2367 Main St, Tucker, GA 30084).
