With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Aaron Bertrand Jr. (Atlanta, Georgia), born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bertrand and Lucy Bertrand (Bonnie Read Bertrand); and his daughter Myrtle Bertrand Heinly. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Cobb Bertrand; his children, Cindy Zetzcshe (John), Ray Bertrand (Shari) and Jay Bertrand (Sandrine); his grandchildren, Stephen, Jonathan Heinly, Erin Bertrand Gibson, Laura Bertrand, Sophie Zetzsche McEntyre and Julian Bertrand; and his siblings, Pat Waldo, Donna Sauerbrun, Gary Bertrand and Ronald Bertrand.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morningside Presbyterian Church (1411 N Morningside Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30306).
