She was predeceased by: the father of her children George I. Clarke; her husband Henry R. Hester; and her parents, Furman Smith and Margaret Smith. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Clarke, Robert Clarke and Martha Shatzen; her grandchildren, Christina Shatzen, Kyle Shatzen, Jefferson Shatzen, Pavlina Clarke, Nicole Johnson, George Richard Sanders and Cassie Hurley; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Finn, Gabriel Joseph and Sophia Lillian.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Doctors Without Borders, Mercy House in Chicago for homeless children and Habitat for Humanity.
