He departed this life peacefully at 8:40 am on June 10, 2026, at Harbor Grace Hospice, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Marvins's parents, Mrs. Annie Bell Long (Mother) and Albert Frances (Father) preceded him in death along with his sisters, Alice France, Carolyn Lester-Paige, Betty J Long and two brothers Eddie Lester and Johnnie Long. He was married to the late Betty j Glass for 11 years; this union ended in divorce in 2011 just two months prior to her death. prior to her demise. Also left to cherish his memory is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Marvin who enlisted in the USA Army in 1977 and was discharged with an honorable discharge due to an injury during basic training was proud to wear the uniform and serve his country.
There will be no service or memorial, Marvin's remains has been entrusted to South Care Cremation and Funeral Society for cremation.
