Matthew Z. Cooper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Z. Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 19. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Matthew may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Matthew touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, Cherise James and Marquis Cooper; his grandparents, Barrant, Dorothy James of St. Mary, Joseph and Leither Cooper of Helmetta, NJ; his aunts, Siana James of Margate, Kristin Ellsworth (Joe Ellsworth) of Lawrenceville, GA and Lumishka Turnbull (Vern Turnbull) of Franklin Park, NJ; and his cousins, Avery Turnbull, Aaron Turnbull, Tyler Ellsworth and Mairen Ellsworth. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes (914 Scenic Hwy N, Lawrenceville, GA 30045).
