He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Coon and Edith Coon; his siblings, Jimmy, Mary Ann, Nancy and David; and his stepdaughter Paulanna.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Carryer; his brother John Coon (Anita); his children, Denise Foerter (Steven Foerter) and Brian (Angela); his stepson Haddon Carryer (Damita); his grandchildren, Erik Coon (Bethany), Jason Coon, James Millhollin, Alissa Carryer, William Millhollin and Megan Carryer; and his great grandchildren, Philippa and Gideon Coon.
