Mark Evans wrote a sympathy message

“Nancy was my classmate from grammar school through high school. She was so cute in her drill team outfit. We were not close friends in school. Facebook brought us together some 40 years post graduation. Nancy was one of my cherished cheer leaders when I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail at age 70. She must have thought I was going to die, always urging me to be safe. I appreciated her comments on my Facebook chronical of the journey. I'm sorry for her struggles in the waning years. RIP friend.”
