He was predeceased by: his wife Estelle Ceaser Washington; his parents, Walter Washington Sr. and Daisy Phoenix Washington; his siblings, Walter Washington Sr. (Charlene), Robert Washington (Melissa), Rickey Washington and Betty Wagner Hunter; his aunts, Marguerite Phoenix, Dorothy Chandler, Lovena Washington Hughes and Lillie May; and his brothers-in-law, William (Glenda) and Larry Ceaser.
He is survived by: his children, Maryam Washington White (Troy White) and Perry Ruffin; his grandchildren, Derrick Ceaser (Ja'Lisa) and Princeton White; his siblings, Edward Washington (Lena), Michael Washington (Alleaner), Wallace Washington, Claudia Brown (Arthur), Mary E. Phoenix, Carol Bentley (Mickey), Lynette Rhome (Rodney), Patricia Phoenix, Jackie Jackson (Andrew) and Sandra Washington; his cousin Mildred Vail; his nephew Kirk Brown (Shavaun); and his godmother Bessie Nogess. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home (2120 Jackson Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
