He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stewart Mounts, Sr. and Carolyn Hillig Mounts; and his sister Elizabeth Mounts Rutherford. He is survived by: his brother Dr. William Stewart Mounts, Jr. (Mona) of St Simons Island, GA; his sibling's children, Allison Luton (Shawn) of Atlanta, GA, Rebecca Briggs (Chris) of Sugar Hill, GA and Patrick Rutherford (Amanda) of Athens, GA; his close friends, Rick Burns of Atlanta, GA and Joshua John Russell of Denver, CO; his pet Pacino; and his son Pete. He is also survived by his friends and family.

Pete's family asks for donations in his memory be made to PAWS Atlanta or Eagle Ranch, both long time commitments of Pete.
