With sadness, we share the passing of Richard Katz (Atlanta, Georgia). Richard, born on November 29, 1930 in Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann Katz; his parents, Jay Katz and Hazel Katz; his siblings, Eleanor Maynard, Loraine Pegler and Mark Katz; and his grandson Garrett Kaufman.
He is survived by: his children, Wendi Lowry (Tom) and Will Katz; his granddaughters, Michelle Gdovin (Michael), Lauren Kaufman, Amelia Katz and Lydia Katz; and his great grandchildren, Eve and Rennix Vizurraga.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Crest Lawn Memorial Park (2000 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richard and Jean Katz Temima High School for Girls or City of Hope.
