He is survived by: his wife Anna Frick Armstrong; his daughters, Jenifer Bolton (Jack), Martha Messina (Anthony) and Amelia Carmichael (Jim); his stepsons, Ed Strohsahl and Will Strohsahl (Amber); his grandchildren, Walker Bolton, Cate Bolton, Glenn Strohsahl, Wesley Strohsahl, John Thomas Carmichael, Charles Carmichael and Jane Messina; his brothers, Bill Armstrong and Dr. John Armstrong (Carol); and the mother of his children Rev. Joan Armstrong-Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
