It is with sadness that the passing of Shirley Farley (Atlanta, Georgia) is shared. Shirley, born on February 23, 1953, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Shirley will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie James Sr. and Mary Ruth Burns; and her siblings, Teretha, Willie James Jr., Richard, Henry and Nathaniel.
She is survived by: her husband Willie Farley; her daughters, Renita Burns, Jackie Burns and Barbara Newton Thornton; and her siblings, Deloris and Melvin. She is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Herschel Thornton Mortuary (3346 M. L. K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30331).
