He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Green and William Robert Lackland; and his wife Sandra Morgan Lackland. He is survived by: his son Chase; his daughter-in-law Kari Lackland; and his sisters, Vickie (Gary Lackey) and Lisa (John Knutson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crowell Brothers Funeral Home (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Winters Chapel United Methodist Church (5105 Winters Chapel Rd, Atlanta, GA 30360). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the North Atlanta Memorial Park (5188 Winters Chapel Rd, Atlanta, GA 30360).
