With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Ellen Spence (Atlanta, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregory Bateman and Anne Chambless. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her daughters, Anna and Katherine; and her siblings, Needham Bateman (Joyce) of Dunwoody and Betsy Canfield (Rod) of Athens. She is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
