He was predeceased by: his parents, Taketoshi Maeyama and Shigee Maeyama; and his brothers, Takao and Masahide. He is survived by: his husband Russell Spornberger of Atlanta; his grandson Drew; his brother Raymond; his sister-in-law Rhonda Spornberger; his siblings' child Whitney; his brother Masanori Maeyama (Atsuko); his siblings' children, Rie and Hajime; his uncle Shigenori Fukunaga (Kinuko); his cousin Ayako Dolen; Trey, Madeline, Sean, David, Charlotte and Sayoko Ito (Yutaka). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
