Simmons (Willie) of Milledgeville, Tamayo Howard of New Jersey and Tileceya Howard of Atlanta, Georgia; his sisters, Laura Howard of Milledgeville, Georgia and Ela Ford of Milledgeville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Willette Simmons of Milledgeville, Georgia, Jontavious Simmons of Milledgeville, Georgia and Ja'Quez Simmons of Milledgeville, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Cassadee Freeman of Milledgeville, Georgia and Autumn Simmons of Milledgeville, Georgia; his cousins, Larry Howard of Haddock, Margaret Franklin of Milledgeville, Georgia, Regina Harper of Milledgeville, Georgia and Pauline Harper of Milledgeville, Georgia; and his friends, Sammy Marshall, Curtis Bridges of Milledgeville, Pokey Waller and Willie Frank Milline. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews.
