He was predeceased by: his mother Ollie Thomas McHaney; and his brother John McHaney. He is survived by: his wife Betty McHaney; his daughters, Jill Ford (Alan) and Julie Walker (Andy); his sister Bobbie Anna McHaney Hasty; his granddaughter Lauren Upchurch (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Ford, Emma and Riley Upchurch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Lavonia (355 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
