He was predeceased by: his parents, Konstantinos Kavathas and Asegedech Woldemariam; and his siblings, Tewodros, Giorgios Kavathas and Ioanna Kavathas.
He is survived by: his wife Roza Simatou; his children, Gabriel Kavathas, Alexander Kavathas, Marianna Kavathas and Artemis Ramos (Justin); and his siblings, Sophie Lowe (Kevin), Paraskevi Kavathas and Michalis Kavathas (Martha). He is also survived by grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
