We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2026, at the age of 77, Velma Jeanette Porter Clark (Atlanta, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Magdalene Sloan Porter and Robert Alton Porter; and her siblings, John Robert Porter, Jeff Porter, Mary Porter and Thelma Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard "Red" Clark, Sr.; her children, Leonard Clark, Jr. and LaToya Clark; her brothers, Emerson Porter, Vincent Porter (Larae) and Patrick Porter (Tina); and her sister-in-law Dee Porter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and dear friends.
A burial was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at the Kennedy Memorial Gardens (2500 River Rd, Ellenwood, GA 30294). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Holiness Church (1481 Woodbine Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30317).
