She was predeceased by : her parents, Lotria Maddox (Ope) and Mattie Bell Maddox; and her siblings, Coy Mattox, Joe Mattox, Inell Mattox, David Mattox, Ricky Mattox and Vinnie Lee Mattox Morrison.

She is survived by : her children, Jessica Franklin (TraeVonn), Kajuanna Oglesby and David J. Oglesby (Keisha); and her siblings, Ruby N. Draggs, Annette Mattox, Horace Mattox of Hartwell, Bennie F. Mattox, Quillie E. Mattox (Mattie) and Curtis Mattox of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Herschel Thornton Mortuary (3346 M. L. K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30331). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1173 Cascade Cir SW, Atlanta, GA 30311).
