She was predeceased by : her parents, Iotria Maddox (Ope) and Mattie Bell Maddox. She is survived by : her children, Jessica Franklin (TraeVonn), Kajuanna Oglesby and David J. Oglesby (Keisha); and her siblings, Ruby N. Draggs, Annette Mattox, Horace Mattox of Hartwell, Bennie Mattox, Ouillie E. Mattox (Mattie) and Curtis Mattox of Atlanta. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Herschel Thornton Mortuary (3346 M. L. K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30331). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1173 Cascade Cir SW, Atlanta, GA 30311).
