He was predeceased by: his parents, Quill Maxwell and Kate Maxwell; and his wife Peggy Maxwell. He is survived by: his son Chris Perry (Andrea) of Winder, GA; his stepdaughter Sherry Carbin (Steve) of Buford, GA; his brother Ben "Jack" Maxwell of Bowman, GA; and his grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Carbin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Memory Chapel (755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA 30680). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Barrow Memorial Gardens (793 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA 30680).
