Howard Herbert Rice Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Herbert Rice of Auburn, Georgia, who passed away on March 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Milton Rice and Nettie Mae Hawkins Rice; and his brothers, Paul Rice and David Rice. He is survived by: his wife Diane Elizabeth Rice of Auburn; his children, Jennifer Brooks (Jeff) of Comer, Paul Rice (Laura) of Winder and Andy Rice (Paulette) of Cumming; his sisters, Irene Bailey (Bob) of Winder, Margaret Rice Clay of Buford and Nell Rice Cloud of Marietta; and his grandchildren, Rachel Boyce (Nathan), Stephen Brooks, Erin Rice, Madison Rice, Peyton Rice and Owen Rice. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Mr. Rice to Calvary Baptist Church for the Mission Fund or the Building Fund at 1975 GA-82, Statham, GA 30666.
