It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvin Willis Josey of Augusta, Georgia, born in Sandersville, Georgia, who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Evans Josey and Zelma Price Josey; and his siblings, Wilmer Josey, Ernest Lee Josey, Martha Lou Woodard and Forrest Josey.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Smith Josey; his children, Debra Josey of Sandersville, Alvin Wayne Josey (Beth) of Hepzibah and David E. Josey (Myra) of Augusta; his granddaughter Lauren J. Galavotti (Adam) of Augusta; and his great grandchildren, Dale and Josey Galavotti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
