She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Julian Stephens, Jr. and Winnie Elizabeth Doby Stephens; and her sisters, Rosa Lee Palmer, Ella Mae Kelley, Naomi Stephens, Hester Fielding, Gertie Gardner and Eleanor Stallings.
She is survived by: her grandson James Gilchrist; her husband Clayton B. Cobb; her children, Alvitene Gilchrist of Augusta, GA, Gail Gilchrist Coleman of Fairburn, GA and James Gilchrist of Fairburn, GA; her grandson Jordan A. Lamar of Fairburn, GA; her great grandchildren, Elijah Lamar, Paisley Lamar and Paxton Lamar; and her siblings, Theodore Stephens (Janet) of San Antonio, TX, Lendon Julian Stephens of Augusta, GA and Sheila Stephens of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Our Mom was also affiliated with the Eastern Star, an organization founded to allow both men and women to join and collaborate in promoting charity, truth, and loving kindness.
