She is survived by: her brother William Garcia (Kris); her husband Timothy Fitzgerald; her children, Christina McNeely (Chris), Timothy Fitzgerald, II (Edith) and Elizabeth Comella (James); and her grandchildren, Steven Fitzgerald (Allyson), Brooke Ciomei (Matt), Breanna Fairgrieve (Dan), Preston Comella, Natalie Fitzgerald, Madison McNeely, Alex Comella, Sean Fitzgerald and Tori Comella.

At the request of the family, those who feel inclined can donate in memory of Barbara to Hands of Grace Hospice Care (119 Davis Road, Augusta, GA) or Hands to Paws Pet Rescue (144 Davis Road, Augusta, GA).
