Betty June Strickland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty June Strickland of Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Hanks and Mary Evelyn Cheery Hanks; and her daughter Barbara Ann Strickland. She is survived by: her husband James W. Strickland; her grandchildren, Dayton Foster, Lyric Clark and Lavin Sweat; her brother James P. Hanks; and her nieces, Kathleen Hanks Davis (Bill) and Corina Clark. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Betty's name may be made to Hearts of Serenity in support of the IDD program.
