He was predeceased by : his wife Peggy Carn Clardy; his sister Mary Alice Clardy; and his parents, Isom Haley Clardy and Alice Capps Phillips. He is survived by : his children, Rhonda Sue McDowell (Chuck) and Bobbie Joe Clardy, Jr.; his grandchildren, Autumn Turner, Allison Turner, Laura Clardy and Michael Clardy; his great grandchild Madison Niedenthal; and his sisters, Linda Gail Choate (Al) and Mazie Phillips Hicks.

Memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots, 1545 15th St, Augusta, GA 30901.
