With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Matthew Dunaway of Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on November 23, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hogan E. Dunaway and Grace Bunn Dunaway; and his wife Lois A. Dunaway. He is survived by: his daughter Charlene D. Whittle (Mark) of Beech Island, SC.; his granddaughters, Danielle W. Campbell (Mark) of Watkinsville, GA and Devin W. Henderson (Brian) of Jackson, SC.; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Campbell, Mary Grace Campbell, Sydney Campbell, Amelia Henderson, Kenslee Henderson and Evelyn Henderson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mann-Mize Fellowship Church (2705 Milledgeville Rd, Augusta, GA 30904).
Memorials may be made to Mann Mize Methodist Church or Second Baptist Church of Beech Island.
