Charles F. Hafey Obituary

Mr. Charles F. Hafey, 89, entered into rest on October 29, 2023.

Mr. Hafey was born to the late Oren and Hariett Hafey in Chicago, IL. He joined the United States Army and retired with over 28.5 years of service. While serving in the military, He worked as military police and was deployed to various destinations including Korea, Vietnam and Germany. Mr. Hafey was fluent in multiple languages. After retirement from the military, he worked as a Postal Service Worker for 12 years in Augusta, GA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hafey is preceded in death by his wives, Alita, Barbara and Georgia. Survivors include his children, Denise Strothers, Charles Hafey, Brian Hafey and Patrick Hafey; step-children, Patricia McClellan, Alexis Anthony and Kevin McClellan; numerous grandchildren; and several-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10am on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
