He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Francis Mears, Jr. and Frances Lever Mears; and his brother Calvin Joseph Mears. He is survived by: his daughters, Alicia Mears of Appling, GA and Kimberly Blackstone (Josh) of Waynesboro, GA; his grandchildren, Dawson Los, Kelly Nicole Gay, Madison Mitchell, Marley Mitchell and Aniston Blackstone; his great grandchildren, Peyton Benton and CJ Benton; his sisters, Christa Eremito (Tommy) and Cheri Yaeger (Ted); his aunt Billie Easler Key; and his uncle Frank Mears. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
